on the way

Autumn that is...

so this shot is a precursor to the autmnal shots to come, and nothing special i admit, we're not quite there..

I was rushed taking this as i was with friends we went searching for deer on exmoor. We managed to bump into a large stag and his hinds but being three of us with two dogs the closest i got was about 25ft away, beautiful animals resplendent in the evening sun.
Great as it is being with friends at my favourite haunts i find it just too distracting to really get into every aspect needed to take good pictures.(spot the excuse making!)

This shot was taken with a 24mm tilt shift lens (which seems to reproduce greens very well) fitted with a hoya pro circular polariser, i have become disillusioned with my 16-35mm lens. Now ive had chance to use it and look at images its just not good enough. Carl Zeiss here we come i think....
