dappled dartmoor

This was shot early one morning on Dartmoor, The rising sun burst through the thick cloud to dapple the hills in the distance with sunlight. You can just make out snow on the far hills and a thick blanket of fog rolled over the moor to add another dimension to a beautiful landscape.

i appreciate the composition could be better but this burst of light lasted for literally seconds so i consider myself lucky i got a shot at all.

This will be my last shot of the year and a fitting one i think, showing lots of elements of the wonderful Dartmoor National Park i am so lucky to live near, a truly magical place....
