war horse by sassaputzin war horse by sassaputzin
Well this surely is what Steven Speilberg was talking about when He said: ''I have never before, in my long and eclectic career, been gifted with such an abundance of natural beauty as I experienced filming War Horse on Dartmoor.

''And, with two-and-a-half weeks of extensive coverage of landscapes and skies, I hardly scratched the surface of the visual opportunities that were offered to me.''

Alex [link] made me aware of this so i thank him for it...and apologise for stealing this gem of a quote.

Id been getting a little bored of Dartmoor disapointing me recently and came so close to not going out this evening but i knew there was drama in the air.....(so did the dog incidently) .......so i set off with Steven Speilbergs words echoing in my head, cutting it fine to get to my chosen spot.

the sunset i was rewarded with was incredible and lingering enabling lots of compositions, when i got home i really didnt know where to start.

This is the first image i have edited on my new 27" imac so your critique is welcomed.

I am astounded by the quality of the mac...i feel like ive been in the dark ages for three years!!...but more on that later...

So this ones for you Steven you'll have to find me on facebook if you want a copy :)

Nice line-up of the lines here, Steve. About the foreground, I think you made good use of it, although it looks a bit busy due to the stones I think. The edit is great. :-)

Why did you have to tell me that you have a 27" iMac. That on top of owning some totally ridiculous lenses!

This is a nice shot, although the foreground doesnt particularly interest me in this instance

Nice! Loving the repetition between the line of cloud and the fence and the opposing clouds and grasses.
