I prefer this one to the other image though i'm not sure why. It just feels nicer to look at, perhaps with the gentle flowers slowly leading you into the more ragged rocky cliffs. With a vertical picture like this it's slightly more pronounced.
Looking longer at the other one however makes me slightly unsure about my preference. The horizontal composistion along with slightly more water makes for a slightly more soothing picture and it lets your eyes roam a bit more i feel. That being said i think it would have been beneficial for slightly more room on top of the cliffs in the other picture as it feels a bit tight in the upper right hand corner.
It seems as though in the other picture the first of the flowers are in focus but the rest is slightly softer is that just me?

Either way they are both brilliant :p

i think i like this shot slightly better than the other. mostly because of the portrait angle as opposed to the landscape, and the colors seem to be sharper in this one. though the other one had a lovely sense of space and vastness.
i guess this is the winner because of the clear, bright colors, in my opinion :)

I like both versions a lot, however I think the other version (the landscape formatted one) is a stronger composition with better lines and I really like the texture in the water. However, as far as processing goes, I think this version is stronger. The horizontal version seem to lack contrast and the hillside grasses look "dreamy".

They are both good shots, but I liked this one better - the POV is more dramatic, at least in my opinion. Great lighting and sky! :)

Nice but I prefer the other one, I think the composition is simply better there, more foreground and I also prefer the blurred water/sky :)

I prefer this one. Less saturated and the water is not as overexposed or washed out. Very realistic representation.

i enjoy the look of the horizontal one better, it catches more of the beautiful sunset and the swirling water... it makes me want to jump in the water :D
this one is beautiful too, however... it makes me feel calm and want to lay down in all of that grass and stare at the ocean or sea...
both are lovely, but the horizontal one is more so :D

I shall try my best and give my opinion of both.

This one gives me a sense of calmness but more focused on the land then anything else. Makes me feel like I climbed a mountain.

The horizontal one makes me want to go and visit new places and explore the world that lies beyond that wonderful mysterious horizon.

Both are great but I just love the horizontal one much more!
