With cs3 you dont need a raw tool like you need with cs2 right?

are you talking about converting files to be able to process them in raw?

Yeah, I have a Canon EOS 40D and I am upgrading to cs3 soon but in the mean time I am stuck with cs2 and want to be able to produce clean raw, HDR images.

clean hdr images?...the two dont go together in my opinion...you loose a lot of image quality with hdr...cs2 hdr merge is not that great either...(or at least the tone mapping is'nt)....use cs2 to blend the images then get the photomatix plug in to do the tone mapping...this si supposedly the best way.

hdr mesess with the colours a lot so you need to do a lot of colour correction...you also loose sharpness...

If it were mine I would just crop the left hand side off this. There is too much negative static space there and it makes the image very one sided. Nice shot though from the feild master.

The colours are all so vivid, especially the contrast between earth and straw. I also like the line play. The sky to the left looks as though there is a storm rolling in from the sea about to wash away the sunshine bathing the land. Another outstanding shot!

I must say, you have some very neat farmers down your way, the ones up here just seem to make a mess!

Now this is a very nice shot. The deep browns of the field are really good. I love the width of the shot and the composition.
