This is a shot from corn du second highest mountain in the south of the UK, pen y fan is over to the right.

this was my main objective whilst in brecon, i'd heard a lot about 'pen y fan' (the highest mountain in southern uk) as this is where the sas train, part of their course is a 45 mile navigation which takes in these peaks.

I camped in the woods near the car park at the bottom, had 4 hours sleep and got up at 4am to pack and climb it, the board at the bottom said it took 2-3 hours to climb so i thought id do it in two. As it happens i got to the top of 'corn du' in 45 mins (dont know what the sas whinge about, its a bump!!).
Its a steep rise as you come up to the summit you are treated to a great view of the massive bowl that backs these two mountains. corn du is a little further up, and this shot is taken from the ledge that looks out down the valley back to brecon.
I had'nt realised it would be so cold (un-beknown to me my dog was not well and wasnt happy) i didnt have gloves and the wind that ripped up the front of this face froze my fingers whilst trying to take shots. I have some video that really chills the bones as the whispy cloud rushes up the valley. it was an exhilarating experience and to watch the sun gradually break the clouds and paint the land whilst cloud zipped by was magical...
