bowerman sees the sun sink by sassaputzin bowerman sees the sun sink by sassaputzin
From a week of some great sunsets, im trying to photograph more of the western side of Dartmoor at the moment which is a bi8t more of a trak for me. This shot is from closer to home, bowerman nose looks out on the eastern side of Dartmoor National park not far from hound tor, it is one fo the most well known and photographed landmarks on Dartmoor..
Bowerman, legend has it was turned to stone by three witches, if you'd like to read the full story its here [link]

You've done it really well. I really don't know how everyone's overtaken my PS skills, you of all people, how do you have the time?

Steve WTF, the foreground is seriously poor quality, looks like you need to practice your technique. Don't come back till it's sorted

Mmmm, I'm sorry Steve but he's got a point.
I'm sure if I zoomed in to 400% then I'd be able to see some lack of resolution that you wouldn't find if you were using a quality set up like a Hasselblad H4D or a Sony Cypershot.
I don't normally like to comment on this stuff, but in this case it completely ruins any enjoyment I might possibly get from this image.
Either you remove this image from your gallery, or I'm going to stop watching you until you buy some quality equipment....really, this just hurts my eyes.

Hmm, ok.
Dunno your reaction to AndyMumford was really meant or just plain ironic.
However, I can see some pixelised areas in the rocks. That's the area where it's best spotable. It's nothing really to offend you or something, I think you are a wonderful fotographer. It's just, the quality is what disturbing the feeling here, presented on the picture. The shot is nice, the quality is not. I'm not sure wether it's your equipment or postproduction.

i dont mean to be fascicious my friend, there was some heavy irony, here is a crop at 100% of the rock in the foreground [link] i cant see the pixelised area you mean?

I know it's outta focus, so it shouldn't be that sharp, but you can't tell me that this is HQ either.
However, I did not meant that rock. Moreover the rock on the left caught my attention.

But again, I have no problem with your composition, atmosphere or whatsoever, these are great.
