A bedruthan step by sassaputzin A bedruthan step by sassaputzin
Thought it was high time i visited this stretch of coastline just above Newquay in Cornwall.
Its called bedruthan steps because of these large slate stacks that litter the beach not for the hundreds of steep steps you need to go down to get to the beach.
Unfortunately the gate is locked during the winter so theres no safe way to get to the beach in wet weather.
What struck me about this particular stack was its resemblance to a boot....

Love the colour palette, it's a bit different from what we usually see in your gallery. I also really like the composition with the rock, coastal line and the horizon - well done! :D

Very beautiful ! I really like the contrast between the smooth pastel shades and the dark harsh rock.

The art of catching the "right light" always makes scenes awesome.

My husband and I went there one day on our first holiday in Cornwall and have happy memories. Mainly me been engulfed by a huge wave that nearly took me out to sea while I was walking on the edge. Teach me to keep my back to the sea  I don't think I could cope with those steps again!!

i think most people who are drawn to the coast have their 'moment' when they realise how powerful the sea can be, it commands my utmost respect...and yeah those steps are a killer....
take care yourself :)
